Tralihs installation

The installation of Tralihs happens in 2 steps. Because Tralihs is a java application, firstly the Java Web Start Environment must be installed. This needs to be done only once. Then, the program Tralihs must be installed.

Step 1. Installation of Java Web Start Environment.

Tip: open an extra browser window.
Go to the following java website by clicking : Download Java Web Start .
Click now on Java Web Start 1.2.
Click on Download J2SE 1.4.1 that brings you to the JRE/SDK download page.
Click now in the column below JRE on the DOWNLOAD link of the appropriate operating system.
Click then at the bottom of the page on the ACCEPT button.
Click on "Download j2re-1_4_1_02-xxx.yyy" to download the installation file (in Windows: j2re-1_4_1_02-windows-i586.exe).
Save this file on the hard-disk.
Go to the directory with the saved file, and execute this file to start its installation.
In Windows: In the Explorer go to the directory of the saved file and doubleclick j2re-1_4_1_02-windows-i586.exe .

Step 2. Download the Tralihs archive.

Click on tralihs.jnlp to download the Tralihs archive (version 2.0).
This will also result (after downloading) in starting the Tralihs program!
Clicking on the link tralihs.jnlp for the second time will start the program immediately, because the archive has been cached on your computer.
Furthermore, Java Web Start asks you then (only at second start) to install a program menu entry and/or a startup icon. Using these possibilities you can start Tralihs without connection to the Internet.
Updates of the Tralihs archive are automatically downloaded when you click the above link and you have an open Internet connection.
